Safety Chuck - Sliding

Safety chucks or sliding chucks are magnetic chucks with adjustable holding power. Safety chucks are used to hold square bar sizes 1", 1-1/4" , 1-1/2", or 2". There are two types of safety chucks available in the market, sliding safety chucks and tilting safety chuck. Insert plates are the main feature of sliding type safety chucks, and these can be taken out, and new inserts can be inserted as per the requirement of weight handling capacity.

Safety chucks are the most commonly used tightening devices for heavy-duty driving and stationary mechanical equipment applications. There are numerous safety chucks available in sliding types, tilting types, and quick release types. Depending upon the weight requirement to be handled, you will find different safety chucks. Tilting safety chucks are primarily used in small projects such as tightening bolts, nuts, etc. Quick-release safety chucks are usually used in more complicated heavy-duty applications where you need a more gripping area to handle large loads. Likewise, it is moderately simple to introduce.

Safety Chuck - Sliding

Safety Chuck is a variant of a classic Safety Chuck. Safety Chuck comes in different shapes, sizes, and axle displacement. But, two types are used most often. One is the classic Safety Chuck, and the other is the Sliding variant. The classic Safety Chuck provides withholding capability using a flange and locking it in position by inserting the chuck key.

On the other hand, the Sliding Safety Chuck uses a dual system: a flange for torque transferring and a shaft for load handling. The sliding rib permits to secure the shaft position with the assistance of a spring stacked button. This way, one can quickly transfer torque at High RPMs without any hassle of continuous rotation of axis and holding/locking.
